Hi Nizbang - sorry for the delay - I've been sulking!! Indeed the bolt for the drive pulley did work loose and then stripped .... I'd recommend and tightness check even on later models
I thought about it - they're very rare though if you want any kind of history and mileage confidence. Most are a part engine sitting on the floor in the corner of a breakers warehouse. Looks like this chap is keeping his if he can. Thanks for the advice though MJI and markomate2!

Sadly an oil pump bolt failure means she needs an engine rebuild. She still starts but the big ends have gone. I replaced the Turbo and had the shells replaced. Seemed ok for a bit but after 20 miles the shells let go again. I think a Crank machining will do the trick. That's not a job I could...
Hmmm ... the plot thickens! I know its insured - got em to recover it last week under my cover. Maybe the private Reg is causing an issue. How do i check? The original Reg is DY04 FGA.
I'm glad you said that. I have to admit to being a little confused on this now. I thought it would be a later motor but apparently DVLA is showing it has a 10P.... Shouldn't it be a 15P?
