Sorry for no replying lately, I tried to run a can of fresh diesel straight to the pump to eliminate pipes, lift pump, air leaks etc, but after driving it with the pump fed directly decided that it was making no difference and still had poor performance, I have also took the injection pump top...

I think I'm gunna get a fresh can of diesel and and put a pipe in the can and feed the pump directly, if it goes fine then I'll work back, but Im going to check the pipes from the tank and fit a new lift pump anyway, thanks for the help

I did manage to get the sediment filter off, cleaned and put back on with out any leaks but I know what you mean with the lift pump, might try a new one from a landrover parts supplier, but i would think it would be abit harder to start if that was the issue, starts on the button. all the pipes...

Yeah, filled up with good fuel, checked pump by undoing bleeder ontop of filter and pushed the priming lever, got a good amount of diesel come out.

I'll get some of that and chuck it in and clean the pipes same time, cheers
