Someone had done a mod on my wiring loom, the switched feed on the glow plug timer was also wiring into the stop solenoid. Worth checking all the wiring for mods/damage/chafing.. Diodes can go in alternators and can cause a drain.

No problem on the drawing :eek: It shouldn't matter, as the threaded part usually sits inside the hub. Your 'current' stub axle looks like it's had some of the threaded area taken off (large burr removal possibly) and doesn't look standard. Ah whoops, drums i should say, not disc.

Try checking the belt tension first, a loose belt will squeal. Other possible faults: Air leaking into system or worn pump. 6 months is plenty long enough to stretch a belt a bit.. Richard

Could be Flywheel not running true or not flat. Worn gearbox or toe bearing in the centre of the flywheel or it could be your crankshaft vibration damper failing, so the clutch takes all the harmonic vibrations from the engine. I had a Toyota supra that ate 5 clutches before I sussed that one...

Should be able to use the existing connectors behind the right panel in the back of the tub. See the blue/black bullet connectors in this photo:

Definately sounds like an earthing issue. You could try adding an extra earth from the rear right corner (where the connections for a tow bar are taken from) and running it to the chassis or tub. Earthing points on the bulkhead corrode and cause problems, 300 tdi defenders get earthing problems...

Ok, so went for a deutsch dt connector to go from the chassis loom to my new door harness. 3 pin connector has been ordered for the wiper park switch, still looking for the 2 pin connector. Do LR supply them? 4 way Deutsch DT connector, heated screen will be done at a later date. Just need...

Also, does anyone know where to get the 2 pin connector that feeds the motor itself? I can find the 3 pin econoseal park switch connector, but struggling to find the 2 pin c388 (ypc106820) connector & pins

Thanks, I'm thinking of going down the deutsch dt connector route as a replacement.

Not from what I've seen on their website. They have the econoseal plug that goes in the wiper motor though.
