This is a great build thread. Doing mine at the moment and exactly what you have done with the zinc plating is what I am going to do on mine. It looks great when placed next to the other painted/powdercoated bits.

Any little helps I am sure but the price is a bit steep for some slight improvement in noise. Could you not just put some DynaMatt and then the fire blanket bit over that?
