hi no motor is heard when pulling on the stalk at all, I thought that it only had one motor...maybe I an wrong, it used to work intermittently but has now ceased altogether.

HI I have had a intermittent wash working and sometimes not working on the front windscreen lately, but now it wont wash at all, the rear wash works ok as I thought that they both work off the same washer motor, so it must be some other problem. I tend to think that it must be at the stalk end...

it can only be the droplinks, I've had two sets in 2 years on my 2004 tdi facelift, just replace them, they aren't expensive so why worry. just my thoughts

Had a new pair of drop links fitted today...again!! better quality ones this time, last ones worked for 9 months, and fixed my passenger seat heating by replacing the control module, around £5 from breakers or £15 off the bay, my missus will be pleased in her having her bum warmed now .:p

I've been quoted £420 +vat without the DMF, he will check it when its in bits...sounds good to me. btw how much extra would a new DMF be if....?? I am at 127.300 miles

buy only genuine GKN bearings around £45 each , just had mine changed with them after bearings fitted only 2 years ago by previous owner, cheap ones no doubt.

thanks for reminding me Lowbank, disconnected mine yesterday whilst fiddling with the ronbox and forgot to replace the circlip to hold the connector on, it had shaken loose. Now all fixed.

its an older version.. just had another go at it, the maf plug was the wrong way round, checked it all the took it for a spin, with maf off and power switch on...pushing hard, the engine light came on...bugger. going to send it to Ron to check over. we will see.

well I got my ronbox and fitted it today (setting 3 ),,,,,,what the hell have I done ! the first thing is the 5 pin plug to the maf can be fitted both ways around, on mine anyway, I thought it could only fit one way, so is that the cause of my problems...let me explain. with the maf switch in...
