    Immobiliser programming

I have a defender 300tdi with the ywj500020 immobiliser which I believe is more commonly fitted to a discovery. It has an rf fob like this: I have the gold 'master' fob and have managed to program one of the two green ones, however I can't seem to program more than one. The procedure stares to...

300 tdi not starting, immobilisers and the world most expensive sticker (probably)

Good news, a replacement immobiliser from ebay for £100 has done the job, the seller was Brit-car if anyone's interested, just need to find out how to program extra rf fobs now.

300 tdi not starting, immobilisers and the world most expensive sticker (probably)

Yes, unfortunately, the feed comes straight from the immobiliser circuit. I am suspicious about the immobiliser from previous issues. I've order a "genuine landrover" replacement off eBay. Hopefully I'll also be able to double my count of the rf ID fobs at the same time, I don't like only...

300 tdi not starting, immobilisers and the world most expensive sticker (probably)

I have just tested a replacement fuel stop solenoid and it doesn't work either, even though the feed has 12 volts on it, the volts just drop away when connected to the solenoid. It makes me think the immobiliser cannot kick out enough amps to power the solenoid for whatever reason. I have found...

300 tdi not starting, immobilisers and the world most expensive sticker (probably)

A few weeks ago my 110 300tdi cut out just after starting whilst I was fiddling with the stereo prior to setting off for work. A few attempted restarts resulted in nothing except the starter turning over. Luckily I was able to let Mrs Hairymammal know that she would have to go without her car...

    Looking good?

I like a nice bright colour, it helps when you're checking to make sure nothings fallen off.

Green 110 - white, silver or black steel wheels?

I have a blue 110 with white steel wheels and I like the contrast that white gives, it looks good and traditional. I am however also tempted by a nice set of shiny black modulars which I think would look great if the rest of the wagon were nice and shiny to match.

    What's this then?

I kind of like the idea of a rusty giant ninja weapon

    What's this then?

I was rummaging around under the back seats and came accross this, some sort of setting/positioning plate?

    Hairymammal saying hello

Off taking my littlest for a bike ride, so took a quick couple of pics. I'll hopefully be shifting my old Saab soon so will be able to get the landy on the drive for easier fiddling. [/IMG]

    Eureka immobiliser

My 300tdi has a Eureka immobiliser fitted, it looks as if the unit is sitting where the Spider would usually be under the passenger seat. Unfortunately I only have one of the green immobiliser fobs and no gold programming fob. I'm keen to have a spare fob for when Mr Sod and his law come...

Thanks for the info Turboman, I hope/think it was probably just acclimatisation. It certainly feels how I expected. Although I will look into the possible culprits.

    Hairymammal saying hello

Thanks all, the Landy has now landed. We've managed to have a couple of drives out already in the few days, really loving it. Pics will follow at the weekend. Had an interesting bout of the Defender equivalent of "tank slapping" :crazy_driver: as my good lady got used to the excellent handling...

Which companies will insure a 12 seater 110 csw ?

Ouch, 2k sounds excessive, I have just been quoted for a 12 seat 110,by Adrian Flux for £410, I'm 36 with 13 years ncb. Interestingly esure who I have my saab insured with have quoted £300, although I will be checking the quote as I am not sure if they fully 'got' the 12 seat bit.

Land Rover Defender 110 CSW 12 seater question

You might want to check on the gov.uk website, I found this when faced with the same problem: "You may still be able to can drive a minibus with your car licence (category B) as long as all the following apply: you’re 21 or older you’ve had your driving licence for at least 2 years the...

    Hairymammal saying hello

Hairy for short would be just fine. I'm currently waiting to get hold of the 110 300tdi csw I have put a deposit on, I'm working away at the moment and will hopefully get it next week. I've been looking for well over a year before the timing and finances were right.

Hello! I have been lurking around, sapping up all of the excellent information on this forum, it has already proved very helpful in buying my landy and I know it will be a wealth of knowledge when it comes to maintaining it. Pics to follow soon when I get hold of it.
