Hi there, I have a td4 2003 freelander and today tried to put the heater on and nothing. Move the switch from 1 -4 and nothing. Checked the fuse (f4) and ok. Any ideas what this might be? Costly? Everything else works on the dash consol Your help will be much appreciated Regards Nick

hi there there is only one large piston. pressed brakes. cleaned piston and seemed ok. slider pins are new from lr. they only go in one way right? cheers

Hi not sure. I changed the top intercooler hose and did not make any difference to mine. Is the connector plugged into the little electrical plug in the middle of the hose?

Hi Decided to get new original pads with caliper bolts and slider pins and the brass bits that hold the pads in place. First drive no knocking! But the first drive after the last change was the same, then it later started knocking.

Great vehicle but take it to the wrong people, it can turn into a nightmare!

Hi there, When its really cold, and on first start of the day, my td4 seems like for first few seconds its flooding itsself. Bit of smoke as well of burnt fuel. Anyone experience the same thing? When normal tempretures come back it starts on the first day of the day with no smoke at all...

Cheers Guys, Will have to sort out when snow is gone. The pads and discs are Pagid. So not very low budget ones. Tried a few and all been crap. Just need to sort out as its little frustrating. Changed pads and discs twice in a year as the last pair were crap. CHeers

Hi Edge. Mine sounds the same. Thanks for the advice on the pad issue. Will do them as soon as the snow clears. Its like a clicking noise. Not always when I press the brakes but also on taking off from stand still.

Hi there, Could be if they are cracked slightly. My bro has same issue with his Porsche 996 and two coil packs had slight crack! Miss fire and warning lights! Changed them and was totally new car. We new this as we plugged it into a Code reader/scanner.
