Hi there,

When its really cold, and on first start of the day, my td4 seems like for first few seconds its flooding itsself. Bit of smoke as well of burnt fuel. Anyone experience the same thing? When normal tempretures come back it starts on the first day of the day with no smoke at all.

Look forward to your reply

Regards

Normal. . . . .

Seeing that diesels cant flood I interpret your meaning as hesitant/rough running. Smoke means that there is unburnt fuel.
A possible cause is a poor spray pattern at the low pressures generated at start-up together with injector fouling. Try a dose of injector cleaner, Millers etc.
