Stripped the propshaft off my old Disco and bolted it on the new and.....hey presto, instant smooth running car :-) Plan is to replace all the bolts as soon as I can as I'm not happy reusing old bolts on somthing like that! But the main thing is its up and running and hasn't cost a fortune :-)

Yeah, I'm really glad it didn't flip up and hit someones car or anything when it came out of the back of mine, I guess it could have been a lot worse!

Thanks for the replies chaps, replaced the steering damper which has calmed it down a little for now. Think i will have to work my way thru everything as its probably all worn out by now anyway, just have to add it to the ever expanding, never ending list of things to do :-)

Probably been mentioned before but, when driving along at anything over 40mph and I go over a bump/pothole, the steering wobbles badly! At motorway speeds, its truly scary! Checked underneath and nothing seems loose or overly worn, so I'm thinking a new steering damper?

Was also wondering if getting a hot air gun on it to warm it up would help with bending it back down?

Another addition to the joys of first time discovery ownership, removing certain plastic panels to discover more of the dreaded rot! But then, i didnt buy this motor cos it was mint! Thankfully, none of the rot looks too bad :-)
