    Classic Slight issue, torque converter

Sweet, thanks. Saves me a couple of quid I haven't got.

    Classic Slight issue, torque converter

G'day. So been working on my RRC with the engine out when the torque converter fell out, and dumped a load of oil on the floor. Is this now worth scrap value, and should be washed in petrol and dried with a match? Was thinking of phoning Ashcrofts to get their advise? If it fine, what grade of...

    Engine bay cable ties

    Thanks for that, spot on!

    Engine bay cable ties

Does anyone know of a supplier for the cable ties that hold the wiring looms along the inner wings? It's the ties with a little plastic rivet thing on them. Am I making any sense?

    heater blower, help!

Just stripped the one in my '93 vogue. All the blower controls are self contained on the blower/heater assembly, with just a 12v feed to it. Would be worth looking at how many feed there are into your replacement unit, if there are only 2 wires then, as already stated, you might have an issue...

    Fuel pipe replacement

The pipes on my '93 between the fuel tank and the fuel filter run on the top of the chassis and had collected loads of much on them. Got my replacement body panels to weld in this weekend, hope that 5kg of 0.6mm mig wire and 9 litres of gas will do it all. Going to leave the boot floor out until...

    Fuel pipe replacement

Cupro-nickel just seems to have much better properties than straight copper, but I'm really intrigued by some of the plastic products out there

    Fuel pipe replacement

I need to replace the fuel pipes on my 3.9 V8 as they are well rotten. My question is what material to go for? I can see several choices; cupro-nickel, rigid plastic, or something else? I'm not going to use copper due to pressure issues, but any other ideas or suggestions?

1993 Vogue - parts and panel queries

Thanks Chrisrr, I have thought about it, but funds and time are against that. I've sourced virtually all the panels through the usual suppliers and evilbay, and I've got a lovely sheet of 1.2mm steel of its way for everything else. Engine runs very sweetly, but leaks oil so I'm going to strip it...

1993 Vogue - parts and panel queries

Bit of an update, managed to remove the boot floor as well as all the outer panels. The dash and heater matrix are out as well so that I don't set fire to them by accident Engine is nearly ready to come out as well

1993 Vogue - parts and panel queries

I didn't want the V8 for it's frugality ;) Still don't know whether to strip it, rebuild it as is, or rebuild it with a diesel. It's amazing how you have an original idea and how quickly the idea changes......

1993 Vogue - parts and panel queries

From what I've been told it is not as easy to convert the early EFI to LPG - whether this has more to do with running or current legislation on the install. If it ain't leaking it ain't working!

1993 Vogue - parts and panel queries

I've heard that there is an issue with the Lucas fuel injection system used, if it was on carbs I think it would be an easier system to setup. Some parts are pretty well gone, but I'm surprised by how much is in really good condition.

Only the rotten bits! Thanks for that info, guess it's time to look for an engine and gearbox....

1993 Vogue - parts and panel queries

Thanks for the info, I bought the range rover for the engine, it's destined to go into a MGB. As my original idea was to scrap the range rover, I need a replacement engine and the early 300TDI don't need a massive change to the wiring loom. I think I could be able to do it up to a good...

1993 Vogue - parts and panel queries

Hi all, For some reason I've decided to restore '93 vogue and need to find a source of parts, especially rear quarter panels and rear doors. I'm also thinking of converting it from the 3.9 EFI to the 300TDI, but keep the auto box (if possible) - is this a daft idea? All the electrics...

Think I might be going mad

Bought a 1993 Range Rover Vogue 3.9, just have to decide whether to restore it or not. Wanted a 3.9 for a MG B conversion, and the engine is in good order, which is more than can be said for the rest of the car. Still, a good friend really wants me to restore her rather than scrap it, but will...
