I have just replaced the fuel pump on my Disco, it seems to be idling better, and runs smoother. Is it just my imagination.? The old pump was sounding like a washing machine, and when l took it out it was almost black.

I was wondering if the front tow eye could be removed,and replaced with a jate ring. As far as can tell, the tow eye is bolted on to the bumper with 2 bolts.

I mentioned green laning to my sister who has a RAV 4, if she goes with should l take recovery equipment with me. :D

Thank you for all the advice, l will be taking a more serious look at doing some green laning now. I know what the Disco is capable of, but l really don't fancy wading through 4 foot deep rivers of mud and going up and down ravines. Green laning seems much more civilised.

As the title says l am new to this, only bought Disco to tow a boat, but it seems such a waste. So l was thinking of going green laning. Do l need to join a club, or become a member of GLASS, or do l just go to a chosen site, and be responsible as per guidelines? Clint.

Every time l change down from 5th, l get a very distinctive clicking noise from somewhere on the gearbox. (It only happens in 5th) My reverse lights are also not working. Could the 2 be related. Ie: reverse light switch?

I am thinking of blocking off the EGR, is it MOT legal, l have seen confusing threads all over the internet. What is the truth?

I have been searching for some new UJ's for my disco 2 Td5, and have noticed a massive difference in price, from about £9.00 for an aftermarket part to almost £80.00 for a genuine LR part. Why is there such a huge difference. Discovery 2 Propshaft at www.rimmerbros.co.uk

Rimmer make some bold claims, and attach an hefty price tag as well. Is it all hype or does it really work. I am naturally sceptical of anything that says"an increase of 25bhp, and 42nm torque" just by plugging this in. Has anyone fitted it, and noticed a difference? Power Box 2 - Diesel Fuel...

What causes the strange whirring noise from the back of a Disco 2 when the ignition is on, I was checking the lights, and other things, and this whirring noise seems to come from somewhere under the body, it sounds like some sort of servo motor. (TD5 T-reg)

Thanks for that, I found it and had a go at adjusting it, seems better already, I mistook the transfer box in the picture for a drum brake.:doh: I will take your advice and change the bulbs first, before I go any further. I think we have the same copy of RAVE.
