Hi,with reference to the original question my 04 sport with 67000 miles has a similar problem,absolutely fine when you start off and fine even when up to temperature,the problem starts after about 25 minutes running time,driving along at a constant speed and I can feel the car just holding back...

Hi,another freelander another mystery plug,this one comes up by the fuel rail sensor on three short wires which are yellow/white,blue/black and brown/green,no obvious place to fit,do you think its just a plug for a higher spec model? this one is a 04 td4 sport.cheers for your input.

Hi,my 04 td4 was ok till i changed the crankcase breather filter,now it emits blue smoke and lumpy running on start up for a few seconds then clears,what could i have done to cause this?

Get rid of the auto & buy a manual if you are after better mpg ,I regularly get in excess of 450 miles per tank from my 02 td4.:)

Hi,just checked,map sensor is already in position is there anything else that springs to mind,it obviously goes somewhere on the left side of the engine compartment,cant find anywhere that seems to be missing a plug !

Howdy,does anyone know where this plug is supposed to be plugged in to,or if it is not required on my gs td4,just found it hanging down inside front left of engine bay the other day when I had the under tray off ?any one with any ideas?

HI,my fookin gaylander has same symptoms ,have replaced battery coz after a charge it only held 10 v,charge light stays on and get a burning smell with plenty of smoke from alternator area,will check starter connections but pretty sure alternator is nazzed too,also am getting large plume of blue...

mine came with new rubber gasket/seals change if you wish !

yes very straightforward,just lift out old filter and the new part should just slip straight in.
