P38A Oh S###..I think I've bought another one.

Hope the other three corners of this ex lifeboat launcher are in better condition than this:eek:

    a p38 up for grabbs

Foolishly I poked around on the 'bay yesterday and was somewhat surprised how many cheap £2-3k 322's there were about - the Beckham wannabees will be all over them. Sadly I think that the time will come where 38's will be more valuable dismantled than as runners. The vehicle op'd isn't worth a...

P38 Air Suspension Not Starting Up

Um, silly question, but isn't there the possibility that your system is up to pressure anyway? And your valve block/drive pack isn't playing the distribution game? Or haven't I fully got the story right - not for the first time I might add:(

    LPG Decommissioning

Ok, chaps, thanks for the voice of reason - guess I'll keep it. Just a last question for you learned folks - can the system be serviced by the likes of ourselves or does the car have to go to an lpg facility?

    LPG Decommissioning

Grrrrr makes a good point about HM Government - I was/am considering removing the heads and looked at all the lpg guff scattered across the 'bay and how much more accessible everything would be without it - also the reports that the Gems mill can suffer from running on gas.

    LPG Decommissioning

I'm considering removing my lpg system from my 4.6 Gems as I do so little mileage and I would like the car to revert to stock as much as possible. Anybody done this and do you have any thoughts about the best procedure? Also I would be happy to sell the above kit for very sensible money if...

Sport Range Rover 2.0 diesel engine failure 28k miles on clock

There's no excuse for not having a car (or anything else) serviced at the scheduled mileage or time interval. Period. Sorry.

    P38A Project P38

Dear OP, please don't take my post as any kind of criticism. We've all had cock ups assorted over the years. It was merely an observation, that is all. The folks on here are here to help. And give advice through their own personal journeys. Stick around and tell us what ails your engine...

    P38A Project P38

If the op has got that much water ejecting from the cylinder it maybe possible that a foreign body could be trapped between the gasket and the deck/head.

    P 38

OK, have taken the effort to read the op's first entry and he says the handbrake light is permanently lit - which means there's low or no fluid in the thing. So its gone somewhere and I would pretty much guess that when somewhere is discovered, rectification can commence. My bad, I didn't read...

    P 38

There's a warning light to say whether there is low/no brake fluid - hasn't been mentioned by the op. Just sayin'...... Brake pedals going to the floor must be a pretty unique fault on a P38 I would have thought, if it still has fluid in the reservoir. Points to catastrophic failure of the...

Nervous? Wait twelve months and you'll be able to thread a sewing machine while it's running :)

    P38 diesel not starting

Take your point, Wammers but the low fuel level light appears to be lit - have seen so many problems in the past where people are not ensuring that the basics are definitely on parade (in enough quantity). My gauge is dicky and gives a dishonest reading.

    P38 diesel not starting

This isn't in any way a criticism but the first thing I would do is bung 20 litres of fuel in it.

    P38A Bit of a wobble

The first thing I'd do is find an MOT station that has a good rep and put the vehicle in - they'll soon find any slop in the myriad of joints, bushes etc that compose the suspension/steering malarkey. It's worth the money than trying to do it yourself on your back - wife talking to you through...
