hi sue depends what year it is and what engine variation your going for if you can afford it go for a diesel and a td4 if you can these are the bmw engined version they are the best.

hi bronco boom best bet is call them lot at dvla there mega helpful ive done a few reshells on cars the always steered me in the right direction as long as you dont tamper with existing chassis numbers there ok you may have to sva test it as if it were accident damaged but ive never tried making...

possibly check the connections again just the ones you have already played with if it was working (even though incorrect) and now nothing its almost certainly something loose or a chaffed through. you may have disterbed a wire the sensor could be down or the gauge but id lay a pound to a pinch...

sounds electrical to me pal check the connections and the earths.
