Track rod ends - How much should they move?

Thanks a lot for the replies. It was the chappie at the tracking place that pointed the movement out to me after he struggled to get it tracked properly. I'll check side to side play when I have a suitable helper.

Track rod ends - How much should they move?

Hi all, Should they move as much as this?? Hope the video links work. It's the first time I've tried it. Thanks in advance, Mark

    Grabber Tyres

Thanks freelance. Worth bearing in mind for the future. First impressions of ATs are fine. It's been pretty biblical rain this morning for an hour or so and they've felt fine. Of course, I haven't been hoofing it too much. It's never going to be a sports car is it! Getting it tracked properly...

    Storing tyres

Great advice. Thanks guys. Given that I've only got two and behind the shed is completely unusable for anything else, flat and covered it is!

    Grabber Tyres

Mine are ATs not AT2s. Various t'interwebby things said that AT2s are an old tread pattern and the ATs are the upgrade. The pattern is a lot more curvy than the pics I've seen of the AT2s. Price wise, just over 100 a corner fitted for a bit extra at my garage

    Storing tyres

I've had a search but can't find the answer to this. I have just had 4 new tyres fitted. Wanted a matching set. The back 2 still have quite a lot of tread left so I have kept them in case I have a puncture or something with one of the other tyres and want a temporary fix whilst waiting for new...

    Grabber Tyres

Thanks for the replies to this. 4 brand new Grabber ATs fitted this afternoon. First impressions are very good. Look the part. Feel on the road, even driving round the block, is far superior to the trash I had on before. Noticeably more noisy but that is to be expected. They are a lot quieter...

    Removing window tint

When I got my Disco it had window tint on all windows, except the windscreen. I am pretty sure that the ones on the front doors were illegally dark and the ones on the back doors certainly made the interior a gloomy place. Besides, what's the point of buying an adventure vehicle if everything...

Wrap around bull bar with light protection?

I've just taken the one in my avatar pic off the front of my truck. It's a genuine landy part, the soft style. The passenger side wraparound is broken at the bottom (see pic) and all the mounting brackets have snapped, although I'm pretty sure they could be refabricated. I still have the broken...

    Grabber Tyres

Thanks for the replies. I know tyre threads get a lot of stick but there's so much choice and it kind of matters on this sort of vehicle. There's a big difference in price between the at2 and gt which is why I was thinking that the gt might be better. Do the at2s last well with most miles being...

    Grabber Tyres

Hi, Hope you all don't mind me resurrecting this thread but just wondered if you have any other impressions of the gts now. Most of my miles will be on road but I'd like to get the car a bit dirty at some point. I won't be doing anything in it that is likely to cause damage though as its my...

    Yippee! I've finally got one!

Hi all, Introduced myself a long time ago on the forum as someone looking and researching Green Oval ownership. Unfortunately, missed the boat on the affordable Defender era but now the very happy owner of a Disco 2. Going to be starting a few threads very shortly as I try to get some of the...

    Aaron's 90 rebuild (Round 2)

Just want to add my thanks for this thread, Aaron. Can't wait to get a Landy of my own. Trouble is, I probably won't be able to take it completely to pieces because I'll need to drive it!! Dilemmas of Landy ownership! :decision::)

    Future Landy Owner!

Hi all, I've been lurking around this site for the last few weeks and thought it about time I said 'hello'. I currently own a Mk3 Mondeo and am looking to replace it over the next 3 or 4 months with a 110 CSW. I've been advised to look for a 300tdi rather than a 200. It will be our main...
