I think it’s 5w-40 and was changed at the last service in May 2017. As per charging the battery, I fitted it at 09:30 this morning and have been on a 50 mile round trip journey today. Hopefully this should have charged the new battery

Over the last 6 years I have replaced 6 door keys They last about a year. All snap at exactly the same place on the key even though I am extremely gentle with the keys. Latest key snapped yesterday as I was unlocking the diesel cap!! Has anyone else had this problem? or suggest a solution.

my 97 300tdi developed an oil leak. Lots of oil on my drive. Eventualy traced to rocker cover gasket leaking from rear. Lots of oil over engine. Cleaned off and replaced gasket with genuine LR part. No more oil on drive!! (had to replace about 20 block pavers to repair drive)

My 97 3ootdi has had wet footwells from the day I bought it. After lots of research I was told to smear vaseline around the door seals and the front windscreen to bulkhead seal. Applied vaseline and hey presto. Leaks stopped. A lot cheaper than buying new seals. Might be worth a try
