    Sorted out the main wiring loom today. Fixed a few chaffed wires and moved the fog and hazard switch to the middle so can be fitted to late type td5 dash.

    With the red fading. Am i right in thinking that it is caused by uv rays. If so 2k isnt effected by uv. So will it still fade if it has a 2k clear.

    Im not keen on brush coats. Think they look a bit tatty. I can spray so mettalics dont bother me. And with a bit of practice you can blend in mettalics if they've been scratched.

    stripped out the front axles and gave it a quick flick over with the wire brush on the angle grinder. then coat of paint

    Right finally managed to get round and do a bit on the defender. half rebuilt the rear axles with new bearings, discs and calipers. just waiting for pinion bearings to come and get the diff back in.

    if it was my workshop id spent the money and resurface it. but i live and work on a private estate. workshop comes with the house. dont think they'd take it to kindly if i ripped up the floor haha :tea:
