    200TDI slow to start

Hi All, I have a Discovery 200tdi fitted into my 90. Just lately it takes a lot of turning over to start initially. I think it must be a fuel issue. It takes around 10 seconds of cranking before it hastily starts then stalls. Then if i fire it up again it seems all good. After that if I drive...

200tdi engine noise from crankshaft pulley area

Hi there, I've bought a 200tdi which currently sits in my donor discovery. It hadn't ran for four years. I got it running today and at low rpm it sounded perfect. However I gave it a little throttle and a noise from the front of the engine came about. It now makes a noise at idle and up through...

    Which crankshaft pulley?

Hi there, i have a series 2a with a rover v8 in it with twin su carbs. Ive only just put the motor in it and it runs a bit smokey but the worst thing is that the plugs keep fouling and going black. If i clean them, put them back in then its ok again for around 20 miles. Any ideas what this could...

    3.5 fuel pump ticking continuously

Thanks for the replies. I believe it is a fuel problem as it will sometimes run for a very short period. The fuel pump does not slow down when ticking with the ignition on. I don't think its building up pressure.

    3.5 fuel pump ticking continuously

Hi there, I have a series 2 88" I bought as a project. The previous owner fitted the engine and didnt get round to finishing the install. Currently I have a good spark however it won't run. The fuel pump seems to tick continuously and does not stop. I assume it is just pumping up to the carbs...
