Not that ive noticed, seams to run smooth. I removed the belt but noise was still present. Ill start it again tomorrow minus the timing belt cover see if that helps to identify where its coming from. Im going to try a diesel purge too i think see if that stops the noise. Cheers

Right pulled it apart again, no play in pulley or shaft when belt removed, removed timing case new belt looks ok woodruff keys dont look too worn ill add some pics.. Shaft seams to have some score marks not sure how normal that is? Pulley rubbers do have some cracks. Cheers Tom

Ok thanks, ill remove belt feel for play remove pulley and timing case check for crank wear + woodruff keys, seamed to slide on nicely and sit up against inner pulley. I did read about them being bonded with rubber hopefully this is the cause. Ive seen one on ebay from barry4x4 for £62ish...

Hmm my vac pump is leaking oil which was next on the list to fix, i didnt want to replace as didnt seam loud but if noise persists i shall have to try a new unit. Think its strange the noise has only appeared since doing belt Cheers

Yep had the cover off replaced all of the caps and adjusted clearances to 0.20mm, fitted new gasket too. Also changed the exhaust manifold gasket as this had split. I had a noise before i changed the cam-belt but it was more of a wur and seamed to come from tensioner/pulley area. Since doing the...
