How much do you need to lower it by to get through the gate? you could look into lowered springs that can reduce the height by 1-2 inches. Tyre size? Could get a few more cm down with smaller sidewalls.

Yeah, it does seem like a lot of work getting the engine out for such a tiny bit of oil. It's not exactly pouring out like some I've seen on here, I see a couple of drips on the tarmac after a long journey, hardly any after short journeys. Maybe I should count my blessings and leave well enough...

Could it be the exhaust? I had a similar problem a few months ago, tightening the bolts on the joints fixed the noise.

Had a good look in the drain hole and it looks clean and dry. Never seen any drips of oil from there since I changed the rear seal last year. Will purchase some cleaner and go from there!

Did you have any trouble removing the filler plug? I have the same type of swivel and can't get the filler plug to move at all.

I believe there should be a one way valve on the fuel line. I read somewhere that this is supposed to stop fuel flowing back to the tank when the vehicle is facing uphill and fix the problem you are describing.
