I've got exactly the same thing with my D2. It happens over bumps and anytime the traction control goes on. I'm also interested to know what it is.

Ok, so with the car locked & window down, I reached in and opened the door and...... Nothing! Then the car started fine. So the alarm is completely disabled? I checked with an ODB2 reader and there are no codes at all. Anything else I can check without a diagnostic? Thanks.

Hi all, My remote and central locking are working fine (except rear luggage door not locking). If I press the lock button on the remote, all doors (except rear) lock and the lights flash once only with no sound. The little LED indicator in the centre of the dash doesn't flash or light up...

It had a bit of play in it so I changed out the whole drag link. The tie rod had already been done when I bought the car.

You mean the position of the steering wheel? It was sitting left side low a little bit ever since I had it off to replace it a while back. As to whether it was set correctly before that, I don't know. It seems straight now though, and doesn't pull to the side anymore like it used to..

The string setup was no good as I would have had to take the spats off the side steps to get a straight line with the string.. So I left it as it was and drove slowly to the tyre shop for a wheel alignment. Here's a copy of the report. Since I'd replaced the drag link, I'd have thought that...

After much head wobbling and providing the receipt, I managed to get a refund on the ball joints :) Then I went home with a complete Lemforder assembly - drag link with all the bits. Everything went back on ok, and tomorrow I'll take it in for a wheel alignment. I did a rough measurement from...

I managed to get the drag link off without any problems, then removed the ball joint from this end. It had a reverse thread. It was actually quite loose, and just undid with finger pressure, even though I hadn't touched the clamp yet. Stupid question..... The ball joint from the drop arm...

Ok, so I got the key fob and a spare case for the worn original. Took it down to the local garage with an autologic. They'd never done one before and the guy doing it didn't exactly have the best English... Anyway I ended up doing it myself - it took all of about 5mins and they still charged...
