Ordered a new hella alternator from John card dock only to find out mine is left handed not right

My old alternator is an a127 65 amp, It has 3 studs with 7mm, 8mm & 10mm nuts with ring terminals, is this an stc833 or stc834? Any ideas?

Hi thanks for the replies, but mine is not a landrover a/c, it’s a diavia(Delphi, then eberspacer now webasto owned) unit so is a different set up, have been on webasto site & think I have found replacement, but thank you all

I have a 200tdi 92 discovery with air conditioning fitted, trouble is the shielded idler/tensioner pulley decided it wanted to get off and walk Leaving the belt, bracket & what’s left of the bearing, so I have no idea what size it is, any ideas would be greatly appreciated, or a spare pulley All...

Many thanks, it was just that the disco stalk doesn’t have the black wire on it, so was curious if it was an earth, took mine out and it has metro stamped on it with 218sa & 3666a lucas

Hi everyone, main project is mothballed at the moment, after a bit of advice. Does a disco 1 200tdi use a metro windscreen wiper stalk or can I modify it? Many thanks

As Blackburn says, turbo different location, timing cover different, bottom hose will get hit by fan, air filter box will have to be changed too & rad mods as well if you got oil cooler. Check out glencoyne engineering, it’s not that straightforward, but good luck

Removed rear tub today, only the bulkhead, axles, brake master & servo, clutch slave, brake pipes & wheels to go & ready to be sand blasted

Been a while, but managed a spare day to moved the 90 to office at work(yep it’s in office)props off, just as well as uj’s knackered, speedo & gauges out, dash out, wiring loom out, gearbox out, sills removed, damper bushes knackered, fuel tank out, clutch slave out & rear tub ready for removal

Hi all, I’m so glad my 90 has snap bolts!!! Just about everyone I tried to undo broke! So tub all unbolted, wings, bonnet, doors, roof, sides, windscreen, seats & seatbox removed So the tear down & rebuild begins

On my old disco1 I had same thing, thermostat housing bolt popped out, waited for it cool completely and used Araldite as temporary fix for 10 years with no problems. I do miss that tdi sometimes
