Head Gasket is gone, coolant pipe is full of white gunge and the engine is full of muddy sludgy oily water.

Got to the bottom of it, coolant hose is full of thick oily water, and whole engine is full of brown mudy water, head gasket is gone

I bought it as is, but got it at less than the scrap value, the cost and time involved is not an issue, just need to get to the bottom of the issue

It's a 1.8 petrol, 2000 Xreg, done 100k. I got it for next to nothing so expect to have to spend money on it, and I'm not shy about doing the work, just baffled as to what the fault could be. Hopefully someone else has experienced the same issue. Other Than the engine the car appears immaculate...
