    It was bent during the first attempt at refit...she's back together n runs and drives as she should now :) thanks for all the advice and help folks no doubt I'll be back on with more problems in a few days once I start using her :)

    Update:- so I've pulled the engine reseated the torque converter to where it's supposed to be.... and the realised the flex plate is warped might this warping of saved the transmission as now I've got the tc seated properly on the transmission it feels right for want of a better way to...

    No no vibrations it was just the rear crank seal that was the reason I pulled the engine with only ever messing with manuals before I didn't realise I needed to leave the tc on the box and just refit as I removed... I did mark things up and I didn't force the block and Bell casing back together...

    Apparantly its had a new crank sensor less than a 1000 miles ago is it worth changing again? ive only had the car 2 weeks... and bought it on the understanding it had had everything done to it.... starting t think now ive been sold a bad egg :( would the crank sensor not throw the engine...

    Hi.... wonder if anyones any advice i have a 2001 freelander 1800 petrol.... that just cuts out whilst driving.... i use it daily to and from work which is about 14 miles each way n it makes it no problem all though seems t lack power... but if i drive any where any further it just cuts out...
