Mine changes up at just over 50 too. I dont know if its true, but I heard somewhere else, that it is programmed that way and that all TD5's change at the same point. Seeing that we all have TD5's that change at the same speed, perhaps it is true?

Good question. Its the extra bits on mine (2004 TD5) thats stopping me fitting the blanking plate and so I would be very interested on hearing advice on this..

Ive had my 2004 TD5 auto Landmark for around 6 weeks .. In that time, I have averaged 20mpg, doing mainly short journeys. Its only done 16000 miles, so do you think it will loosen up some more?
