Soft Top Thingy Gone Missing !

Hi Folks, Its been a while since I was last here, so Hi All. Does anyone know the part number of the bit in the attached picture. It sits on the end of the soft top frame. It would appear that this has 'fell off' the soft top frame I sold to a mate of mine when he bought my Freebie. I do...

    A suggestion for auto judder

Hi All, I just thought I'd pop back into here after buying a Disco 3 and starting the usual fixes and maintenance stuff. (Ducks to avoid the rotten tomatoes and eggs). When I was towing my large caravan I started to notice a 'shudder' from the transmission when pulling away, almost as though...

I had my Freelander valeted yesterday prior to it going on FleaBay. I was rather shocked by the result. Thought I'd share it with you. PS.. if you think this sounds like a shameless plug.. then you'd be right

Well fingers crossed. Its all that electrickery and **** that worries me. You know where you are with a Freelander, a spanner and a hammer.

    Fuel Tank Cradle

Unfortunately, the only way is to bite the bullet and buy a replacement. At least that way you've got a genuine part and it will fit. I got my local boys to fit it and I'm glad I did as its a b*tch of a job. Lots of things to move and a fuel tank to hold up at the same time. I've seen plenty of...

    Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

Well.. the time has come to sell the Freelander. She's just not fat enough. Sorry, heavy enough. I've just bought a behemoth of a caravan weighing in at 1700Kgs and although the Freebie would pull it, its nowhere near heavy enough to be safe. So, out of the frying pan and into the fire. I'm...

Yeah, there are two types. One with 4 holes and the other with two. Mine being the latter. Thanks for posting the pics BTW.

    More stereo woes!

Darn, I think one of the allen bolts has snapped in half, hence the head is loose but the 'barrel' is still in place.. Could get messy this. Now where did I put my drill ? Just for reference.. here is a link to someone doing it successfully :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctd_7UjbmNQ

    More stereo woes!

Hi Gang! To cut a long story short, I want to remove the radio in my 2002 Freeloader. Its the type with the two allen key bolts holding it in. I've undone the two allen key bolts until they were loose and pull out the stereo.. however only one side is free. The other side seems like the...

What have you done to your Freelander today

I serviced it today, oil, engine breather etc etc. Spent most of the time wrestling with that f***ing under tray coz some numpty must have done the bolts up to 200Nm or more. ARRGGGHHH!!!! Still.. job done.. for another 6 months.
