What have you done to your Freelander today

Well having spent all afternoon yesterday cleaning my landy I went out at lunch time today and I kid you not over the bonnet, up the windscreen and over the roof was absolutely covered in bird sh#t, I've never seen anything like it, it looks like a hole flock had flown over and all at once let go from their rear's just as they flew over my car, so had to wash it again. Lol

Rest of it was underneath, so its black underseal in a dark area. dun't make for good piccies.

for a few months now the hippo has been running a little rough.the thing is it was only running like dog poo at around 30 mph when in traffic and your just touching the throttle almost like it was dropping off a cylinder tryed many things and had many good suggetions from you good people no warning lights and nothing on the computer the last thing i tryed was the throttle potentiometer and it worked done 180 miles today now running smooth as silk again any one else heard of this part breaking or am i the first .03 td4 auto

still have a list of jobs to do but its getting smaller sunroof next or maybe the back door

Replaced the radio front panel (as the buttons were fooked) now all working...

not just today, but finished today.
fitted satin black bull bar.
fitted facelift front bumper spot/driving light/lamp pod kit
fitted satin black side steps
alls good and I need a beer

Is that in the throttle body or on the pedal?

Got my wheels painted and fitted.....



Bought some paint at a good price which kinda determined the colour - satin black.

it was the pedal

A quick pre MOT check on advisory Items from last MOT which indicated the following:

001 Nearside front Tyre worn close to legal limit
002 Nearside front lower suspension arm has slight play in ball joint
003 Offside front lower suspension arm has slight play in ball joint

On checking today the above is total and utter bull****e http://www.brh4x.com/brc/images/smilies/bull****.gif

What I found is that the Offside steering track rod end has humongous amounts of play in it...so much so you can feel it through the Nearside of the car..........I thought this rattle was just my drop links or as stated above.....

2 track rod ends on order........I cant find any play in suspension bottom ball joints..........Makes you wonder how these guys get liecenced to do MOTs...

I serviced it today, oil, engine breather etc etc.

Spent most of the time wrestling with that f***ing under tray coz some numpty must have done the bolts up to 200Nm or more. ARRGGGHHH!!!!

Still.. job done.. for another 6 months.
