    Exhaust Heat Shield - Rattle

Apparently my heatshields are rusted and causing a nasty rattle. I haven't been under the car yet as I only found out what they were and I am away from home for the next few weeks. Can anyone tell me if they can be replaced separate from the exhaust system and how much they cost. Alternatively...

Brakes go hard on second pump

Hi I have a quick question I'll be taking the car in for a service anyway but was curious to see if this is normal. If I put the brakes on then let my foot up half way then apply the brakes again the peddle goes hard. Any thoughts what might cause this? The disks on the front look reasonably...

    First Service since buying

I think my car which is good condition hasn't been properly serviced for a long time, I suspect the owner took it to a freindly garage where the basic service was performed but I doubt they were a specialist. Now I want the most thorough service and check up I can get so that I can know more...

2002 Disco front bumper is Ugly as sin

It's almost to the point of putting me off buying one! The 2001 look so much nicer. a) Why did they make the front end of the disco fugly? b) Is there anything that can easily be done to make it look more like the 2001? c) or should I stop crying like a little girl and just buy the bloody thing...

    Diesel Versus V8 quandry!

I am still looking at my options. I am aiming for a 2001-2002 discovery or maybe a range rover of same year. I was looking at range rovers originally and now am looking at discoveries. I am not sure whether to go V8 or Diesel. I know the TD5 and 2.5 in the range are different and the former...

    Range Rover or Discovery

I have a thread in the Range Rover forum asking about P38s but the more I think about it I am getting worried. It seems than not only are they more expensive to fix (I accepted that) but now I am reading than many people are advising me to steer clear of P38s. Same people advised me to go for...
