    Best/Easiest Heated Seat Kit

Hi all, Does anyone know which would be the best/easiest kit for installing OEM heated seats? I want the factory switches, rather than aftermarket. FCX kit is £150 and “TOTALLY plug and play”. https://www.fcx.co.uk/product-page/heated-seat-loom The Mobile Centre kit is £96 and comes with a...

    Rear door fix

Hi all, I had a knocking from the rear door on my 2011 90 hard top. It turned out to be the weight of the rear wheel when going over big bumps was causing the back door skin to flex and knock as it has come away from the frame on the lower section below the spare wheel carrier. I’ve...

    Headlight Levelling Screws - Puma

Hi all, I would like to swap the headlights in my 2011 90, so I’m compiling a list of bits I need. Bezel, fitting screws etc. My vehicle has the levelling switch inside the cab. And it seems to only have an adjustment screw at the bottom of both lenses. Not at the top. Is that correct, or are...

    Bulkhead removal bar

Hi all I’m about to purchase a 90 hard top again, after having one a few years ago and making the mistake of selling it. One of the first jobs on the list (it’s a long list!) is to cut down the bulkhead and fit a bulkhead removal bar to the top of it. The trim style one, not the full bar style...

I'm about to swear - side steps!

I get from reading on here that most people regard these as a scare on the face of the Defender. But mine is not used off-road and my little wife can't get in without them, so I am looking to fit some. My question is, are the "quick fit " ones, like this...

    Steering wheel modification

I'd quite like to fit a 15MY XS steering wheel to my TD5. But obviously these don't have the indicator cancelling pins. Is there any way of adding some? Thanks

    Aftermarket seats vs bulkhead

I would like to get some nice aftermarket seats, such as the Corbeau RRS. My TD5 90 has the higish bulkhead e.g. would this mean these seats sit slightly further forward than my standard ones? Thank you Owen

To carrier, or not to carrier

Hi all My 90 Hard Top doesn't have a spare wheel carrier. Due to not wanting one attached to the door, and door hinges at a slightly odd height this is the only option for a rear carrier at a good price http://www.paddockspares.com/pm287-paddock-swingaway-rear-spare-wheel-carrier.html My...

    Rivnut tool

I'm soon going to 'try' and replace my TD5 mud flaps and brackets. After reading about how badly it can go, I've decided to get the tools I may need now. Could you please recommend me a rivnut tool? There are quite a few on eBay and wasn't sure if the £12 one is upto any sort of job. Thanks...

    Defender hardtop new speakers

Hi all I am looking to install speakers into my 2003 90 Hardtop. It didn't come with any in the dash, so don't want to cut holes. Not keen on the doors. I am about to ply line and carpet the rear, so am going to install them at the same time. I am looking to install a pair of 4" speakers high...

Would you fit my central locking please?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone around the Suffolk area who has previously fitted a central locking kit to their Defender, would be willing to fit mine for me for money? I have a 2003 TD5 Hardtop, and bought a Hawk remote kit. I'm not very DIY minded and something always tends to go wrong...

    Hi all, from Suffolk

Hi all, Whenever I do a Google search on Defenders this forum comes up, so decided I needed to join you. I used to have a 2000 TD5 County a Station Wagon with all the off-reading kit on. I shouldn't have sold it, so very recently bough a 2004 Hard Top. It needs a bit doing to it to tidy it...
