    Breezy out, innit?

The question is, when I go traipsing around the local scrappys on Monday morning how many different shades of glass should I expect to find on P38's? Also how do I identify what shade is fitted to my car?

Just when I thought I'd got to the point that nothing was wrong with the RR this happened........

p38a Replaced pads, bled brakes, ABS light stuck on

1997 P38a Diesel failed its MOT last week for rusty rear brake pipes and low pads. I've just replaced the pipes at the rear and all the pads while I was at it but now the ABS light stays stuck on. I bled the brakes with an "easy bleed" kit and using a guide from Range Rovers.net and no air was...

    More EAS problems

I've got one of those but it needs repairing. Might get it done and keep it under the bench for such occasions..............

    More EAS problems

Thats exactly what I had to do but the best I could muster was the read outs I posted earlier. There must be a better way of doing it with windows 7 but i've not found it yet.

    More EAS problems

Has anyone else had problems finding which comms port they're plugged into on windows 7. It doesn't show the comms port number when the USB is plugged in like it used to with XP. That aside the car is now fine. I can't explain why or how but while trying to find the comms port the orange...

    These are the faults it keeps throwing up: 3 : F8:8_Hidden 4 : RL signal incorrect 5 : F8:32_Hidden 6 : RR signal incorrect 7 : F8:128_Hidden 0 : Engine speed fault 3 : Pressure signal constantly low 4 : Air supply fault 5 : Air supply leak 6 : Target heights incorrect 7 : Vehicle...

    More EAS problems

Evenin' I've just spent the afternoon sorting out the suspension on a '97 p38 diesel. The system would deflate over a few days if left alone and after some investigation around the system I decided a rebuilt valve block and compressor might help. Today I fitted both those items but when I...

p38 DSE Throttle dies and "Injector" Light comes on

Warwickshire isn't a made up name, its a real place just south of Birmingham.

p38 DSE Throttle dies and "Injector" Light comes on

I'm definitely in Warwickshire although Wammers' suspicion was correct at the time I wrote the first post. I was in fact in Gloucestershire at that particular moment so I was bluffing!! Anyway, for those how might require P38 diagnostics in Warwickshire, i'm off to see a LR guru by the name...

p38 DSE Throttle dies and "Injector" Light comes on

Cheers Wammers, Do you know of anyone near me who can "plug it in"?

p38 DSE Throttle dies and "Injector" Light comes on

Morning all, Having done a few google searches on this subject I see several references to throttle position sensors and worn stops in the fuel pump etc but I can't differentiate between those problems and the problems I am experiencing so I thought it would be better to start from scratch...

EAS Very slow to rise at first - then fine afterwards.

Cheers Wammers, Ill get some hylomar tomorrow and refit the pressure switch. Please forgive my ignorance but by "supply side" do you mean anything on the same side of the valve block as the compressor?

EAS Very slow to rise at first - then fine afterwards.

Hi all, A few weeks ago I fitted a replacement driver pack to the EAS on my P38 DT. This has cured the "pressure signal high" problem and stopped the car from standing at all sorts of strange angles. At the same time I fitted another pressure sensor as mine had been known to keep the pump...

RR Valve Stuck Compressor runs Constantly

I dont know how to do that without looking it up so ive just pinched the compressor relay out of my spares heap and stuck that in for the time being. Fingers crossed!

RR Valve Stuck Compressor runs Constantly

Whatever the connector's called I think we are all talking about the same thing. I got c141 from the RSW pressure sensor check video on youtube but also found that picture of c0871 after wammers' last post. Anyway, Ive got resistance with the pump at rest and continuity after the pump has run...

RR Valve Stuck Compressor runs Constantly

Thanks Wammers - for clarity can we just confirm that to do that I need to put a multimetre across pins 7 and 9 of c141 connector. From rest there should be some resistance but after running the compressor for a while there should be no resitance. What setting does the multimetre need to be on...

RR Valve Stuck Compressor runs Constantly

Went to the car this morning to find that all four corners are still inflated after removing the EAS Timer last night. Just to check, the timer is that 3x1x1 inch black box thats the first thing you come to after taking the seat base surround off? If its not a leak then what is it. Ive been...
