p38a Replaced pads, bled brakes, ABS light stuck on

1997 P38a Diesel failed its MOT last week for rusty rear brake pipes and low pads. I've just replaced the pipes at the rear and all the pads while I was at it but now the ABS light stays stuck on.

I bled the brakes with an "easy bleed" kit and using a guide from Range Rovers.net and no air was leaving the system when I finished bleeding it.

The car has not been lowered to the ground yet and therefore I have not driven any where in it. Can anyone shed any light on this while Ive still got the wheels off?

My ABS light does not go out until I drive the car forward for about 10 metres.

Come to think of it, neither did this one.

It waits until it gets signals from all the wheel sensors before the lamp goes out. If it doesn't get sensible signals the lamp won't go out because ABS can't function without them.

Easy when you know the answer. After something has gone you suddenly notice every light and squeak.
