    Life is funny though. our family of cars, merc petrol, transit petrol and freelander petrol we wouldn't entertain diesels. But my mates family wouldn't entertain petrol's everything has to be diesel.... Its just how life goes

    Actually I have 1 good point. Being a freelander owner its been a great vehicle to learn on. How things work, how to fix them ect... Makes me actually appreciate how a car works and not to abuse it.

    Every vehicle gives hassle. They all have moving parts which break. Put this way though give me a freelander to fix any day rather than some French vehicle

    Fuel economy, i didn't really notice any difference. But previous posts seem to be diesels because i only get around 26mpg from the 1800 petrol (although i have had fuel management issues with the lambda sensor not working)

    Rough idle,hard starting,missing slightly in traffic Also had 2 fault codes. Oxygen heater circuit and cam sensor range. No mil engine light though

    You really need to find out what that code is. Just going through fault codes myself and replacing breaking down sensors. Could be anything from engines worn, sensor is breaking down, fuel filter blocked, air filter,plugs Have you taken the plugs out and checked there colour, do a compression...

    Mine has done the same. been through 2 new tank + caps. the company blamed me for it breaking. The actual reason i found is that it fouls on the bonnet when it is shut..... Not fixed mine yet
