I had this and never managed to resovle it. It's the abs kicking in when it shouldn't which then increases your braking distance threefold. You can take the fuse out (I did when driving around the Lake District). It triggered an engine management light, but this went out as soon as the fuse...

Disco1 tank guards are held on with four bolts. One on each side on the chassis legs (where the jate rings fit) and two on the rear chassis (will need to remove the rear bumper). If your guard has six fixing points I'm going to guess it's not a disco1 guard. I've had a rocksliders guard as well...

A new set is not expensive, but then again there are loads of perfectly good standard springs around from when folks that have lifted their Landys. IMO I'd avoid HD sets. Good road handling but very very hard on the spine!
