So I bought another RR the other day......

At least you've gone for the earlier ones, absolutely love the vertical grills. Apparently they've got higher quality steel than later models, so I've been told anyway. I don't know why I'm doing it ='D, I think this will be the only one I get, due to the fact there will always be another job...

    Range Rover Classic welding

What i managed yesterday, the last little plate underneath was a faff, next time I plan to tack all the plates in situ, then once everything is fitted, remove the tacks and weld the assembly of plates in the shed, then bend it all back into place so I'll do the min amount of welding possible on...

    Range Rover Classic welding

No doubt in that it bites, the original metal certainly spits, probably down to some of the surface corrosion that's still in it. I did find it welded better downwards at this bit, maybe that's just due the position that was comfortable for me. Agreed it could be better at being hotter, as the...

I'd like to document these repairs for my own benefit...

The Little Discovery That Could (financially ruin me)

I thought mine was rusty, if you're chassis is that bad imagine how bad your shell is =P. This is the landrover way, I would be tempted to sell up though as your time and skills could be put into a better condition vehicle. That is my opinion, only saying that because I've done the same thing...

Range Rover Classic 1988 Weld Repairs

Essentially yeah on the inside of the A pillar, I won't be welding onto actual rust though. I would much rather repair using one of those sections you can purchase,I plan to do that in the next few years along with the sills =)
