    Vibration and warm VCU

Look at the front cv joint on the propshaft. see if you get any play in it. Not too unusual problem, normally between 35 to 50 speed, feels like a unbalanced tyre. if you find any play then just drop the prop off and see if it goes away.

Judder under load - VCU or inner CV joints?

I would put my money on the front cv joint on the propshaft. Either get hold of prop and see if you get any play in the joint, if so then drop prop off and take for a test.

    Stuck injector - TD4

If you do a search on the web, there are companies who have specialist pullers that will be able to get it out with out having to damage anything else. Normally if you give it a good soaking in penetrating oil they usually do eventually come out, but from what you have tried that may not work...

    Bad vibration between 40/50

    TD4 clutch pedal

You could try bleeding it. But would look at replacing the master cylinder, as would put my money on the seals starting to fail. There is also the possability of wear on the clutch plate springs or slave. If either of the two then if not doing the job yourself then look at £500 ish with all in.

    TD4 HSe 2004 Not Starting

Like has been said its the clasic symptoms of a failing injector. If they come out ok would be worth getting them tested/refurbed first to eliminate them.

No wheel wobble under load ?

Are you sure its coming from the wheels, the front cv joint that fastens the prop to the IRD can cause the same symptoms, just get hold of front section of prop and see if you have any lateral or rotational play. Bad news is you can not get the joint any more and have to replace the front...

    propshaft tripod joint

The problem is the tripod joint, which is the one on the front prop shaft, that looks like a can, that conects to the IRD. They have just 3 roller bearing like the ones on drive shafts, you can get the UJ joints for the other 3 but they have stopped selling the front ones, as you can sent the...

    propshaft tripod joint

The needle bearings in the tripod joint in the front prop shaft have failed. Does any one know where to source a replacement joint. L/R in there wisdom have stopped doing the joint alone. As all the rest of the prop is in good order including the VCU, I am reluctant to have to buy a new front...

    Bad vibration between 40/50

Started to get a bad vibration between 40/50. It started when we were away last week so had balancing checked on tyres and all ok. Got under it and checked prop shaft as thought bearings/damper they seem ok, but on the front uv joint that conects to IRD has both lateral and rotating play which I...

    Wobble on acceleration

I know that the injectors dont need coding, but when we sent our last injector out for referb, I waited while it was done and got to talking about problems and was told that they had once done a freelander with a problem that sounded the same as yours. The only way was to re-program the...

    Gearbox problem..Please can you help??

If it the master cylinder or slave the problem should be there hot or cold, you have not said how many miles it has done, but the problem is likley to be more clutch plate related. As for cost well shop around but the cheapest you will find is around the £500 mark if it needs a duel mass...

    SD HSE Problem - DPF.

DPF filters are the worst thing they ever fit. The fix for yours will be a replacement. If you do not get it sorted then the next stage of the problem will put the engine it into limp mode. If its under warranty then fine, if not then the best option is to get a bypass and a remap. If you do a...

    Slave Cylinder replacement - TD4

are you sure its not the master cylinder that is the problem, as it would be unusual if they did not fit a new slave when you had the clutch done.

    Cheap dealer servicing ?

Hi derryk, if you want a good job with a indi then for my money i would go to C & A at colne. They are a good set of lads and will do a good job for a fair price. As the use genuine parts for the service it will not invalidate the warranty.
