hello no it idles around 800 fine then if you press the pedel slow or fast it stalls as soon as it hits 1200 revs cheers

any ideas i have done a searh but cant find about stalling at 1200 revs cheers

hello follow up post the one i submitted earlier regarding a change of intank fuel pump on a td4 2001 y reg, the pump was gone so i replaced it with a good tested used one and it works ok with plenty of fuel delivery as soon as key is turned. car starts fine and idles with no problem but...

i think this was on flea bay few months ago but sure it was then pearl white :flame:i think if it was the one from before it was a racing green one and still has the standard stone coloured dash and standard trim inside ????? wonder y no inside pics

thanks guys i have removed the supply pipe and a good strong flow from pump so thats ok, also have buzzing from pump under bonnet so assuming thats ok, i have swapped the injector rail switch just to check with a mates one and still the same, does any one think it might be the accel control...

just checked the intank pump by taking the delivery pipe of and thats working fine by supplying fuel when key turned so it cant be that, the old pump was dead so thought that would cure the issue, it still starts and idles fine but as soon as it reaches 1200 rpm it just cuts out??????

with the old pump in it was not starting at all with no noise from pump, new pump now lets it start and i can hear the buzz from it. i will take the delivery pipe of and check that but how would i check it at the fuel rail?? cheers

hello just had to change the tank pump on my td4 2001 y reg as the old one failed, now i have managed to start it but it wont rev it idles fine at about 8500 but as soon as i press the ped it stops, if i slowly apply the ped it will creep up to about 1200 revs before cutting out. any help...

sorry everyone its a TD4 on 54 reg its only a Intermittent problem so would it be an hose ???? will check map and lp pump cheers

the AA said no fuel was getting through so owner stripped tank out and checked for c*** in tank, and was expecting to find a intank pump. he didnt and he tried putting diesel direct into the pipes going into injector pump. thats when my mate had it off him. my mate then turned engine over...

so any ideas how we could test the injector pump on the engine???? thought it would be sim setup to a freelander?????? cheers
