Just retried again and, blue solid light then red solid light - No flashes.

I can lock and unlock with the key fob, which means the security is working? Also why does the car alrm sound when i disconnect the battery? how do i turn it off without disconnecting the sounder? what do i do with the key fob? i tried pressing the buttons but it kept sounding...??? no weird...

update. Fully charged battery overnight. reconnect it up- fecking alarm is loud! anyway got out the becm sync mate plugged it in went blue light first then RED light. thats it - it still wont start- what is the RED light mean? anyone know where are you bbsguy?

You might need to buy/rent a syncmate , you plug it into your odbc port look at the lights blink and as if by magic it will start.

The continuity test.... Plug is off the car so one lead on the thread and the other on the body of the plug? No buzz means it's fecked? What are the chances that more than 4 are fecked?

I found some equiverlant ones from rs components, but I wasn't sure if I needed nc or no type, the other reason I didn't upgrade was I think it will put more pressure on the battery which already takes a pounding as it is. The factory setting seems fine to me anyway.
