Quick Heated seat repair. Anyone tried it?

If both elements are in series then shorting out the duff one is just going to make the good one get tot hot and possibly catch fire. If you manage to get a high wattage resistor then that itself is going to get really hot too so you'd have to make sure it was not in contact with anything that...

    Fiiting bigger alloys...

Hmm. When I looked this morning the tyre said 18", but when I measured it last night the actual wheel was over 19" (Maybe my finger slipped on the tape measure as I walked back to the house). Luckily my spare is the same type of wheel.

I'm not a drug dealer or a pimp either. I have sent off the forms though.

    Couple of questions ?????

Same with mine. I've not looked into my problem but had the same on a Jag a few years back and when I had the seat out it was just a break at the solder joint on the element. All the movement up and down must have stressed it. On mine I don't hear the engine speed change like I do when I put...

    Ignition Key In

Got out of bed the wrong side today? I think the O/P's concerns are that if it's not showing obvious stuff like key in or door open then there is a fault and he's worried it might not be showing more important info.

    Fiiting bigger alloys...

I am confused. I just measured mine and they are 19" but they are proper Land Rover wheels. Would these have been fitted by the previous owner or are they standard on a HSE/Limited edition from 1998? Or could they have just been an option? Or as a final option am I measuring them wrongly? It is...

    Slow gurgly fuel fill-up

I have to put the nozzle in upside down on mine if I want any chance at all of getting some fuel in. Normal way and it's click, click, click all to way to £80.

Sudden loss of power P38 4.6

Car is a 1998 P38 4.6 Petrol only (No LPG conversion). Engine seems to run great normally. If I'm doing around 30mph and I want to pass something, I'd press the Sport button and floor it. This is where I get a sudden loss of power for half a second. After that it shoots off like a bat out of...

    cherished number plate HSE V8

A proper HSE V8 plate might be worth having.(Not for me. I'd rather spend the money on my Lambada classes) On the ebay page for H6 EVB I love the way it has a line at the bottom of the example plate explaining to the driver behind what it is supposed to mean. When ever I see that sort of...

    Lamb under the bonnet?

Thanks. Is the sound not normal then? I have no warning lights on. Since posting originally I have noticed it also when driving normally but it is very quiet and hardly noticeable until you slow down.

    p38. coolant in r/h footwell

I have been getting a VERY wet passenger foot well. Mine is definitely A/C condensation. It's colourless and odorless and since I have had my A/C turned off for a week it's dried out completely. I just need to unblock my drain tubes (hopefully) I'd have thought yours would have dripped more...

    Parking Sensors For P38

Exactly. When you hear the car behind crunching, then you are probably back far enough. Just fit bullbars if you need the same for the front :)

    a new remote control for p38 .

In what was is it too old? You can buy refurb kits from ebay if it's just cosmetic. I got anew rubber button cover and battery cap and rubber seal for a few quid. Made my remote look 50 times better.

    Bow Wave

Yeah that is the same seller I got mine from. I do like your red grille though Redrange. I just noticed you have red under your lights too. I think red like ours is classier than black or green :) Are RR grilles supposed to be grey or was mine just a faded black? Before I did the chrome bits...

    Bow Wave

I got it from ebay. It wasn't what I was expecting. I thought it would be chrome strips that clipped on the grille or something. It turned out is was from a roll of self adhesive plastic chrome trim stuff. It had been cut to length and angled to fit around the Land Rover badge. It looks nice in...
