good afternoon,the componant with the evidence of past removed corrosion is the 'Rocker shaft support bracket',the front one, The corrosion was where it meets the head casting. Thanks Ryn

Thanks for those pointers I will disconnect the alternator and fan tomorrow and get my listening stick on the front area,it does seem to come from the heater valve area but opening and closing that made no difference,choke on or off makes no difference,it sounds quite a bit like a very rough...

Hi,i hope all are well, if it is a bitumous paint then petrol will take it off,100%, wire brush and scraper to abraid the surface then plenty of rags and keep wetting with petrol, if you dont fancy the fire risk of petrol then perhaps a heat gun and elbow grease, all the best and good luck, Ryn
