have you checked all the air feed pipe work from the intercooler? could be something as simple as a split hose

jam a chisel in it (not a round shaft one tho) an grip it with moleys or an adjustable an turn it out :)

oh yeah, i also thought glow plugs where actually used to heat the combustion chamber to temperature for a complete controlled burn? i can see the reasoning for the ade of less smoke on start up, but thats just because the chamber is at the correct temperature for the whole air fuel mix to burn...

of all the freelanders i've seen they all have 4 plugs in them, just that 3 can be changed quick, the 4th needs the injection pump moving to change

JP, can you not get a small chisel in there an knock it in to the remaining bit of the plug to act as a sort of screw driver as most of the tension will be out of it now its snapped? try some penatratin oil on it an small amount of heat to to try an free it off easier, be better than welding the...

Owl, do you have all the measurements for the 88" chassis? and would you be willing to do me a copy of them? as i have an 88" chassis that is beyond rotten an its quite twisted so can't get accurate measurements off it :(

ITS SORTED :D :D :D it was the slave that was fooked, bled it for a good hour-2hour this mornin, to no avail, put a new slave on it an it bled up a dream :)

yup, its had over a litre of fluid put through it an still the same :(

yeah the rod is the right one, clutch plate has flywheel side against flywheel (it was written on the plate) there isn't any bubbles in the master on return stroke, but it feels a bit weak, for example... holding my finger in the slave cylinder when the pedal is pushed it should push my finger...

right then...... i've changed the clutch on this disco II (****part HD assembley (on customers orders) ) and everything has gone sweet n dandy, lined clutch up, fitted n tightened cover to 25NM re fitted box, attatched the slave to the bell housing...... and nothing...... have had the box out...

if i understand this correct, your plug has gone into the box further than being flush with the casing? and if like jamesmartin says its a tapered thread, you need to be carefull you've not cracked the box :confused: and also, is it deffo deffo deffo comin out from the plug? not from the...

its closer to Alvor than us, still below Lisbon but north eastish of Alvor, not got AC in the shop but we have just had a new roof put on :) There was AC in Rob's disco but it got taken out, might get put back again but i dunno yet :) lol, the series that my girlfriend and I are building up...
