Ha ha it seemed like a great idea at the time......Infact I am sure the word Genius popped into my head for a moment!!!!!!!! All I can say is that G101 stuff cut through it in no time but burnt my hands like you wouldn't believe......... Should have paid more attention to the "Corrosive"...

When people said it was an awful job I didn't realise just how bad it was....... I used...... G101..(5 Litres), Terps (1 Litre), Petrol (3 Litres) Gunk (750ML).....A shed load of hot water in the bath and finally my Karcher to wash it all out!! Can't wait to test it later now!!

Hi I have heard silicone hoses don't degrade like normal ones so now mine are ready for a change I thought I would make sure they never need doing again due to degradation. All reports on EGR blanking are good..... Smoother running, better MPG, more power.....that's on Diesels I have read...

I am thinking that replacing injectors might be beyond my abilities to be honest :( I will probably just give it to a garage but will be sure to mention the seat cutting.

I have a feeling mine needs injectors and a MAF next but I have spent a small fortune in the last 2 weeks so they will have to wait till after Christmas!! Or perhaps Santa (the Mrs) will bring me a MAF and 4 shiny new injectors!!!!

Did you clean the manifold and ports out guys? I am not in a position to have the car in bits for more then 2-3 hours. I am banking on the G101 doing a good job on the manifold!!

Going to get it done on Friday afternoon I think..... What sort of time scale do you guys think I should be looking at to get it done start to finish?

No worries Gary ur welcome. The car is a workhorse to me and just needs to be able to pull a big caravan so as long as it's doing that I am happy :). Thanks for the torque settings they are just what I needed. :)

Hi just about to do the EGR mod on my TD4 and have read most of the sticky but cant see any advice on cleaning the ports (I am happy with cleaning the manifold). I am also wondering if anyone knows the torque setting for the manifold bolts for when I put it back on. Thanks
