v8 disco II on LPG advice

Road tax is the same as whatever it is on petrol for that model year. As for tyres, depends on tyre manufacturer & road conditions but to be fair I haven't got a clue as my mate owns a tyre shop & I get part worns from him so I don't know how many miles they have already done. I'm sure someone...

    locking wheel nuts

Just measured the Defender wheel stud size & definately is 16mm which is the same as Disco 1, Disco 2 are definately 14 mm, same as Range Rover 38A. Contact the seller to exchange them & re edit his listing as I'm sure many other Disco owners may not know either. Let me know how you get on, all...

LPG - Brisk Silver Spark Plugs

I had A Morris Marina van 25 years ago, LPG only, ran on standard plugs no problem. My V8 LPG Disco 2 which I run now runs great on standard Bosch plugs. Local LPG fitter near me (25yrs+ experience) says just use standard plugs. It maybe as already stated above that it just needed a new set of...

    V8 from California

I remember when we used to build the NAS 90, they were the Dogs Bollocks, best looking Defender to leave Solihull. Unfortunately only American market. Our european version was nowhere near as nice. Lucky Americans. Like a symphony from the Exhaust too, all 8 cylinders in sequence.

    locking wheel nuts

Will check when back at work monday as I can measure the thread of a Defender nut. But Defender & Disco 1 threads are definately bigger

    siezed ignition barrel

This happens to mine quite often, I use WD40 & it cures it for a month or so. Once I was stuck at a motorway service area for ages & the key wouldn't turn it at all no mater how much rocking of the steering wheel but eventually it turned. Since then I WD40 it every now & then & no probs.

    locking wheel nuts

Its the seller whos got it wrong, not you. Defender nuts are not the same as Disco 2. The seller may be classing the Discovery300 as Disco 2.

    locking wheel nuts

Wheel Stud pattern & Size changed on the introduction of Discovery 2. Think you may have bought Locking nuts for Disco 1. Disco 2 are the same as Range Rover 38A, Disco 1 are the same size as Defender

    Auto Gearbox Warning Lights

Get your battery checked out as I have heard that a dodgy battery can cause this, it has happened to 2 owners I know at work altho their Discos were autos. The one charged his battery & was ok for a few days but in the end only a new battery cured it. Just get yours checked first, I hope it...

    Such confusion over Jacking L322

Because its not strong enough to hold the weight of the car. There are only a few bolts holding it to the subframe. It would be like picking your mate up by his balls. Also its not safe at all, any jacking plate that will fit through the exhaust pipes to go under the diff. wont be big enough...

Your Disco is a Discovery 2, Disco 3 has spare wheel underneath car. Anyway,as Twinter 2 says, get in touch with Tinley Tech, they are really helpfull. On mine I have 2 x 40 litre lpg tanks in a cradle where fuel tank used to be, then a smaller petrol tank just behind the RHR Bodyside. Another...

    Such confusion over Jacking L322

Theres a jacking point on the front of the sill & one on the rear of the sill, they are big plastic rectangle shaped, if you have different sill finishers on than standard, then there should be little doors to get to them. DO NOT JACK UNDER THE DIFF on a L322. You can also jack under the...
