locking wheel nuts

Hi,
just bought some locking wheel nuts for my 2001 Y DISCO 2 TD5 but the threads are larger than the standard nuts, please can someone tell me what the wheel stud size should be and what year did the stud size change.

Wheel Stud pattern & Size changed on the introduction of Discovery 2. Think you may have bought Locking nuts for Disco 1. Disco 2 are the same as Range Rover 38A, Disco 1 are the same size as Defender

thanks for replying,
the wheel nuts I purchased were supposed to be for a Discovery 2/defender year 2000 onwards, item No

150738430177 on ebay, seems the seller got it wrong or I am missing something.

Its the seller whos got it wrong, not you. Defender nuts are not the same as Disco 2. The seller may be classing the Discovery300 as Disco 2.

are the differences disco 1 16mm and disco 2 14mm, I will contact seller and let him know.

Will check when back at work monday as I can measure the thread of a Defender nut. But Defender & Disco 1 threads are definately bigger

Just measured the Defender wheel stud size & definately is 16mm which is the same as Disco 1, Disco 2 are definately 14 mm, same as Range Rover 38A. Contact the seller to exchange them & re edit his listing as I'm sure many other Disco owners may not know either. Let me know how you get on, all the best
