Finally got off my backside and fitted it, set it to about 90 as a trial, the fan comes on but stays on? I must have a faulty stat as shouldn’t it cycle on and off as it goes above and below the set point? Or am i missing something?

I believe you have to remove the foam it should scrape off and then re glue with high temp glue

Did 80odd miles home, no issues, checked no milky ness or discoloured coolant, slight weep on one hose coolant dropped about 3mm, nipped up and monitoring, going to do the cooling fan mod. Did about 40 miles yesterday with no issues

Will try the paper trick tomorrow, how much is a new fan? I was hoping as its done 80 odd miles home the engine should ok.
