hi guys looking at replacing my rear crossmember on my 1989 v8 90 looked at some other threads and it seems to make sense to buy the member with extensions on to make fitting easy one question can anyone recomend a crossmember that fits as we all know some of these aftermarket parts dont fit...

STOP!!!! dissconecting the ht leads could blow your coil pack what you need is a ht lead tester that fits between the plug cap and spark plug to see if the leads and coil pack are at fault :)

my opinion coils on a p38 wouldnt be the same vehicle imagine 3 people sat in the back or towing a trailer the p38 would be down on its back end like a dog rubbing its arse on the ground , where as an air sprung p38 would self level and you wouldnt tell the difference the power that commpressed...

well it must have gone somewhere how often do you check your oil ? i check mine every week over a period of time the engine will burn oil that you may not see or smell :)

No oil in the coolant. No white mush on the oil filler cap looking down the sides and front of the engine everything looks dry. Under side of engine and gearbox is clean with no signs of oil. No evidence of oil leaking round the oil filter I can't see any blue smoke from the exhaust, although...

yes i am pretty sure it will , did it come out of a rover 75 ? . if so it will, only thing is it wont show the land rover logo on start up it will just say navigation system , also there will be no off road navigation . apart from that you should find everything else the same :)

i also get 12 -14 mpg out of both my p38s on gas and on a run 18 mpg has been the best. it must be remembered that to get the same performance on gas as on petrol you have to introduce more gas into the engine . some of these mpg figures being quoted sound as they could be running a bit lean...

i also bought a fuel tank sender unit for my defender 90 , guess what it didnt work, took it back tried another , didnt work had money back bought a genuine land rover unit ,it works you would think some things are so simple such as your fog light and my tank sender how can they get that wrong...
