OH MY GOD..:eek: IRD Unit,..That was a fun 4 hours...Busted Knuckles,..etc..:doh: Anyway got it done,.Also changed Disc Shields,.So tomorrow fill Fluids and replace Discs and pads,.Cleaned all Caliper Sliders and greased them up well..So hopefully get it back on road tomorrow...

Just thinking about Stevelanders idea of removing guts of IRD and using it..Can't see that working.... I was thinking if you wanted to be in 2WD but still have propshaft and VCU in place.. Could you not remove the rear pinion drive gear from the IRD as you do when install IRD Blanking...

Hello.. Congrats on getting the problems sorted..I drive my Freelander in 2WD aswell I think it is a better drive,.Easier on fuel..etc.. Only thing I was wondering is Will it M.O.T with the Prop Removed.. I read somewhere that it wil in England,.But I'm not sure abour Northern Ireland...

I replaced my Rear Diff Front Mount a few weeks ago...Bought Mount ,It comes complete Bush an all..Removed 3 Bolts Removed old Diff Mount ,.Replaced with New Put back 3 Bolts ,.Job done,.No Subframe removal or bending things,.:) Bout 15mins...Job Done...

Trying to Buy IRD online..Got this from seller..Recomends I buy VCU aswell.. Tipex tested my VCU and it worked fine.. Very confused now,don't know what to do,..Any advice please The tipex test is an absolute myth. I have no idea who came up with this test and why this useless test...

Hello.. I need a IRD Unit for my 2000 Freelander 2.0DI...I have noticed a thing called a Mass Damper on top of it...Is this only on the Petrol Models.. Mine does not have this as I have removed the Prop+VCU and Blanked my IRD Rear Drive... Colin
