As said, the steel tang goes across the width of the slot, where you see the plastic lugs - not the length of the slot, when they would indeed simply fall off! DAHIK...... A

As said, can’t see why any new properly fitted clutch would ever be ‘noisy’ - def ask them to check it over, and not take any nonsense...? Good luck, A
