Hi just an update on my 3rd Tank of fuel with 300ml of 2 stroke added. All I can say is wow this is great....my engine is getting better and better...it definately has more torque especially at very low revs around 1200rpm. Cold starts are so much smooother and it is still noticeable once warm...

Sounds like a common rail injector leak down issue. You can attempt a home cure by doing following by a tin of BG244 .... look on ebay this is demon injector cleaner. Once you have got the above............remove the original diesel filter.... get new one and fill it up with BG244. Replace...

I was discussing injector issues with a local Bosch injection specialist.... he recons that the removal of the sulpher in diesel is causing allot of problems ..... increasing friction .... and causing silica like deposits on injectors. Don't forget the L series and TD4's are old lumps originally...

My old ford cvh was a bugger for this ... everytime i touched head ... tappets noisey......always ended up putting new ones in. I think micro dirt gets in fine galleries. You could try Ametech Restore-Oil Additive .... neverr tried it myself but have heard nothing but good reports...
