Disco 2 New driver seat cloth

I need to replace the cloth on my driver's seat base. Could someone help identify the colour/cloth. Have attached a photo, but the middle is sort of velour and the sides are leatherette - colour is a bit almond on the sides and slightly greener in the middle! Car is 2003 D2, possibly XS...

    Disco 2 high pitched squealing

I'm getting a high-pitched squealing from underneath my 2004 Disco 2 at 30mph - happens both when accelerating and cruising. Sounds metallic - and definitely underneath so not engine related. I have greased the UJs but maybe need more. Any suggestions gratefully received!

Is it worth changing a steering box with slight leak?

Would appreciate views - have a 2003 D2 with a steering box that has had a slight leak for the last couple of years. A few drips a day - so not pouring out, and after a decent clean got past MOT without an advisory (but has had for the last three years about this). Is this something just to...

    Painted bumper end cap

update - despite applying several cans of paint code 751 to the new bumper end cap, it looks nothing like the rest of the car!! Assume the 751 stamped on the plate next to "Paint Code" was just a guess by some bored LR worker back in the day. Anyhow, have now taken Maaarrghk's suggestion and...

    ACE fault 06-05

    Banish those amigos!

I recently had the SVS replaced on my Discovery 2 by a garage as the three amigos kept coming on, and the SVS failure code came up. All seemed ok for a few weeks, then the lights came on again. Now armed with a Nanocom, I read the fault - SVS again 23 times, and cleared. Again, all ok until...

    Nanocom newbie - SLS problem!

Is it possible to set the height to levels that the ECU does not like and that could cause this chaos?! He has a 2in lift so set the heights to around 80 on each side...

    Nanocom newbie - SLS problem!

Yes - those lights are on with Nanocom unplugged.. Also, cannot raise the SLS with the button in the cab, or lower with the Fob. He was supplied a 000070, but was then told this was wrong and was sent a 500070...

    Nanocom newbie - SLS problem!

turned out he had been supplied the wrong part number SLABS ECU. He received the correct one, and we installed today. Set the SLS height and that seems ok, but now the ABS light, the SLS raise, SLS lower and Hill Descent lights are all on - and the Nanocom cannot find a fault to let us clear...

    Nanocom newbie - SLS problem!

Helping a mate replace his SLABS ECU today - all done just trying to calibrate SLS height as car sank to its bump stops when new ECU connected. Did it by raising left then right sides, pressed store settings, turned off ignition and waited 60 seconds, turned back on and the car sank onto its...

    So, here's a bit weird...

thank you - will check the BCU - can you just take it out, clean it up and put it back again without messing up any settings?

    So, here's a bit weird...

Currently have removed old remote receiver due to key fob not working, and having to lock/unlock D2 with key. So yesterday filled up with diesel at garage, left car unlocked, went off to pay and when I tried to start the car nothing happened. No turnover, nothing. All the instrument lights came...

    Chugging when slowing down

just coming back to this for any further non-train related suggestions?! Engine only does this sort of chug chug chug noise when coasting, ie when I take my foot off the big pedal and glide along serenely - does not do it if I rev the engine when stationery. Someone suggested it was something...

    Recommendation for D2 owners

assume you have to drop the headlining to do this? Is it worth plugging in a Nanocom first and trying to reprogram the key fobs?
