    Bankz's 110 Double Cab

Pity it isn't flush when fitted underneath (or is it the angle of pic?), so think maybe best on top

Classic fukin ell we all have regrets.

Wow, can't say I go looking for another even for price comparisons as I am happy with the one I have, although mine is a bit younger it does have a few more miles on the clock!

L322 Aux cigar socket, are they meant to be constantly live

Neither are the ones on my 92

    P38A Heated Windscreen

Think Ford held a patent for "quickclear" screens but would have thought it may have run out by now, this is different from others such as Concorde which had a very thin layer of gold film applied; shop freezers use a metal oxide that has a current passed through them on the doors to stop them...

6-Wheel Drive Discovery II - Am I totally mad ?

Ouch! That is depressing to see, lot of effort gone into this so far, does it move under its own steam?

    Classic Power brakes not working

you don't say which seat you have had out but assuming you have it fitted, the ABS relay is under the passenger seat in a RHD, could this or the associated loom have been disturbed? From my experience they are a little fragile and require a bit of tlc, mine is now on its 3rd relay. Martyn

    Classic Turbo trouble.

Agree to not running as bits in the engine are not a good idea, I have a 2.5VM which has done 120k miles, replaced a head & gasket at about 80k and fingers crossed no plans to strip engine yet. Martyn

    P38A Bit the bullet ...Ker-ching!

Good result then, never had to pay duty from china always seems to be down as a sample whatever the value, although not sure what the rules are. Martyn

    This jack any good?

I use a low profile SGS 3 ton jack (twin piston, reasonably quick) and 12 ton (2x6) ratchet axle stands, all well made and free next day delivery when I purchased, would have the same again. Martyn

    P38A Bit the bullet ...Ker-ching!

Whatever it is I bet they don't deliver until you pay, unless it is some sort of scam of course. Martyn

P38A 2.5 DSA Auto screeming to 4000rpm before changing gear !

Good one, shows what a good forum can do, don't forget to come here first in future. Martyn

    Towbars

Depends what you are towing, multi axled trailers don't always like fixed height towball. Martyn

P38A LED headlamp bulbs....worth it or not?

MOT compliant doesn't mean legal, most LR's don't have type approval with leds fitted as they didn't exist when manufactured and don't forget it is the driver is responsible for construction of use issues not the blind tester

    RR Classic LSE Diagnostic Kit?

Not sure if this helps with the abs light. Martyn

P38A LED headlamp bulbs....worth it or not?

I thought leds were illegal unless the reflector/lens was designed for them and as such should also give an mot fail. Martyn

    Smokey 2.25 series three

Gosnays do a thing called a savershim just for this eventuality, I only know of them used on petrol classic cars but I think they also do them for Diesel engines. Martyn

1982 Land Rover series 3 88" 2.3 petrol station wagon

Nice, even if some of it is historical, not having seen the original I don't have a clue but then that's nothing new. Martyn

1965 Series 2a Station Wagon in Holland

Tangents are always interesting, especially if they work out in the end, looks like a bit of work required here though. Martyn
